The CLC is a multi-facetted research-based consultancy that investigates diverse elements of organised crime (OC) in an innovative and data driven manner. Through a combination of innovative teaching, in-depth analytical research and strategic networking the CLC offers more than mere “awareness-raising” and instead fosters the expert organised crime research community of tomorrow focussed less on repression and more on creating development-based perspectives.

About me
Academic
I am a Criminologist & Economic Sociologist, trained in the UK and Italy (BA: University of Manchester, MPhil: University of Cambridge, PhD: University of Milan). My specialised expertise is in the fields of: Organised crime research (foci: Italian Mafia & Anti-Mafia policies; EU-internal human smuggling organisations; social re-use of confiscated assets); Police corruption
Professional
I have interned with Berkeley Law Centre for Research and Administration; Yale Sociology Department; RUSI (London); Police Foundation (London) and Eurojust (The Hague). I have attended the specialised Winterschool on Organised Crime at United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Moreover, I have worked at Centro Nazionale di Ricerca (Rome), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH, Berlin), the Police force Bremen and am an ad-hoc researcher at Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime (GI-TOC). My research skills are both quantitative and qualitative in nature (e.g. expert interviews; NVivo; Social Network Analysis). I have undertaken research & analysis in English, German, and Italian language.
